Position Summary

The Practice Director for the Professional Services Implementation Team will lead a high-performing team responsible for the end-to-end implementation of our solutions across diverse client environments. This role will oversee internal implementation resources while collaborating with third-party consultants to ensure seamless and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, working with third-party partners, and ensuring the successful deployment of complex software or service solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    Lead, mentor, and develop a team of implementation consultants, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client needs. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team.
  • Collaboration with Third-Party Consultants:
    Manage relationships with third-party consultants, ensuring that external teams align with internal resources, project timelines, and deliverables. Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party consultants, ensuring seamless coordination and project success.
  • Project Management:
    Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of implementation projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. Act as a senior escalation point for project-related issues, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Process Improvement:
    Continuously evaluate and improve the implementation processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction. Establish and maintain best practices for implementation, including resource allocation, project timelines, and risk management.
  • Client Engagement & Satisfaction:
    Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle. Ensure that clients are informed and engaged throughout the process, managing expectations and delivering on commitments.
  • Resource Planning & Allocation:
    Strategically allocate internal and third-party resources across multiple projects, ensuring appropriate skill sets are available to meet project requirements. Balance competing priorities and adjust resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Financial Oversight:
    Monitor project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints. Work with the finance team to manage project billing, scope changes, and contract renewals.
  • Reporting & Metrics:
    Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the implementation team and individual projects. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and resource needs.

Required Skills

  • Experience:
    • Proven experience managing complex implementations that involve third-party consultants or vendors.
    • Strong background in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals, including both internal staff and third-party consultants.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project Management Expertise:
    • Excellent project management skills, with a strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and deliver on time, on budget, and to scope.
  • Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking:
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and tactically to address project challenges and client needs.
    • Ability to proactively identify risks and issues, developing mitigation plans and driving resolution.
  • Client-Facing Experience:
    • Strong experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to manage client expectations, build trust, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical Aptitude:
    • A solid understanding of technology, systems integrations, and enterprise software implementation. Familiarity with [industry-specific software/solutions] is a plus.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in a SaaS or cloud-based solution environment.
  • Familiarity with modern implementation methodologies (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD) and agile development processes.
